Pork Loin for Roasting
Boneless Pork Loin is a lean cut of pork which is very good for roasting.
Some tips from Wentworth Butcher on how to achieve the best result when making a Pork Roast.
1. Add a liquid in the dish of your Pork Roast to help keep the Pork moist whilst cooking.
2. Cover the Pork with an Aluminium Foil to protect it from direct heat.
3. Cook the Pork at a low temperature, 150°C - 170°C, this will ensure that any tough connective tissue will break down, thus having a juicy end result. Cooking at a lower temperature will result in a longer cooking time, but it is well worth it.
4. We strongly suggest the use of a cooking Meat Thermometer to check your meat when it is done. If you have a meat thermometer, the internal Temperature at the thickest section of the pork, should be 71°C. at 71°C, the Pork Loin is cooked to perfection and should be taken out of the oven, and left to rest for around 30 minutes before slicing.
